Signs to Watch Out For:

1. You receive an unsolicited offer to invest in a new IPO.

2. The application asks for upfront fees or personal banking details.

3. You are told the offer is exclusive and time-limited, creating urgency.

4. The platform or app lacks proper contact information or verification.

5. Promises of guaranteed profits or high returns are made.

6. The application has poor reviews or no digital presence on trusted sources.

How to Report IPO Fraud on Fake Applications:

1. Treat IPO fraud as a financial cybercrime.

2. Report to authorities immediately if you become a victim.

3. Use the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal to file complaints regarding fake IPO schemes.

4. Dial 1930, the National Cybercrime helpline, for assistance with fraud.

5. File an online complaint at https://cybercrime.gov.in, anonymously or with personal information.

6. Register your complaint using your mobile number on the portal.

7. If unable to file online, contact your nearest police station for support.

8. Police will transfer the case to the cybercrime cell for further investigation.
